Ayurveda 2009 – International Indigenous Healthcare Exhibition and Symposium was held from Saturday 23rd May 2009 to 25th May 2009 at the BMICH, Colombo. The occasion was graced by the Prime Minister, Hon. Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka, as the Chief Guest, along with many other distinguished guests from the Govt, including Ministers, heads of Corporate sector and Diplomatic Missions participated at the occasion. The Medical symposium was addressed by reputed international speakers from India, China,Netherlands, Germany, UK, Japan Singapore and the exhibition was participated by local and overseas indigenous ayurvedic sectors. Also delegations from foreign countries and a large crowd patronized the Exhibition and the Medical Symposium. One of the unique features of the event was that many visitors were able to consult Traditional Ayurveda Doctors for various ailments.
